Just Wonder what the nama can do?

Just after resent posting I was going through my routine mails and there was a pleasant surprise waiting in the inbox. It was a mail from the yahoo group "namabhikshakendra • Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Nama Bhiksha Kendra".

The message from that mail was just substantiating my words through a beautiful story. Here is what the message and story (copied and modified a little from the mail, courtesy Namabhikshakendra yahoo group).

From the discourse of Sri Swamiji:

Once a king gave project to 4 persons of his country and the four people has completed the project nicely.

In appreciation of their work, king wants to give some rewards to these persons and enquired what they expect??...

First person came and told that he wants to have nice roads in his village. King informed his minister to set right the same.

Second person came and he asked the king to give one bungalow and king in turn ordered his minister to sanction one bungalow immediately.

Third person came and informed the king that he wants to marry rich girl and the same was fulfilled by king

At last, the King asked the Fourth person what he wanted. And he simply replied that he desired noting other than the pleasure of the Lord. On hearing those words, the King got astonished and said "I am the ruler of this country and I would like to give something to you and you have to take something from me"

Then the person replied, "O Lord, since you are compelling me, I have one request with you (i.e.,) you have to come and stay in my house for one month". And the King agreed for that and instructed his minister to find out when he was free, and fix dates for his stay in his house.

Minister collected the details of his address & wanted to make preliminary arrangements for the King's stay, in that humble person's house (the Fourth one in our story).

Minister came to know that he was staying in a small hut & there was no proper road to go to his residence.

As King would not like to travel in the junk road, minister ordered to lay road to go to his residence as soon as possible.

Moreover the King cannot stay in a hut. So!! once again, the minister order's to sanction one bungalow for that person. (In other words, make his hut changed into a beautiful bungalow that is fit for a King's stay).

Along with the build up of the bungalow, the minister gave him enough money/gold/diamond to that person (when king comes, person should not complain that he does have money to server him).

Now, if you see, the person has become millionaire.
And mean while a rich man in that village requested that person to marry his beautiful daughter.

Though the last person had not asked anything from the king, he got everything i.e., a new road to his village, bungalow to reside and beautiful rich wife

Similarly...
There is no need to ask anything to God if Maha Mantra is chanted regularly.
And this will definitely draw the Lord himself to you. When this happens, what's there to worry, all your needs and desires will automatically be fulfilled without asking for it.

Radhe Radhe
Ranga

Hope the readers have a wonderful story to instill the urge to chant the Maha Mantra regularly.

Nama bestowing all the goods, unasked

After a few days gap of attending the Nama chanting at Paranur, I am here to share with you some insights of the experiences that show how the chanting nama brings you near to God and create a changed and instilled peace of mind.

I am sure that, for all those fortunate persons who were able to attend the grand Nama chanting Yagya (sacrifice) would have experienced a lot of change in their thinking, speech and action. Even without asking for you get the grace showered on you. The God becomes very pleased and would do all the good that is need for you.
This happened to me to after my return from the chanting. For those who are interested in the statistics, I was blessed with a 6 day participation overall in the 30 days festival of Nama Yagya, averaging 5 to 6 hours daily putting my chanting hours to just a mere 30 hours out of the 720 hours of no stop chanting by a group of sadhus and bakthas.

I was attending my office as usual and that day, my manager called me to inform me that I was promoted and only in the recent time I was given a change in my responsibilities and role, so that it would no really trouble me too much and i would be left free to take care of some of my personal problems, at least for some time now. This promotion was indeed expected a long time back, and we were not sure how our company was going to respond to the us. This was as surprise for me. And things seemed to move more peacefully now.

I showed my orders to my Guru - Muralidhara Swamiji and he aptly blessed me saying that it was the grace of God on me to have that promotion. In my mind I was just wondering and he said the same, Yes that was really the grace of God, and whether I will be able to take it the same way if i get some trouble or change in my job (not as the way the society expects). The small child Prahalda (The puranic baktha) was able to take all the troubles as the blessings of the Lord, The great king Ambarisha (another great puranic personal) was serving the lord in spite of having all the wealth that God has given him. Will I be able to pass the same way!!! My whole life, in stark peace and having my whole faith unshaken at the foot of the Lord Hari and my beloved Guru? I believe, he has taken me over, irrespective of how I was, and here I stand as a person who holds a strong belief in the power of the Nama and the grace of the almighty, who is ever drawing me closer to himself.
